Learn from Ally and Kristian: Plan your ceremony outdoors where you will have beautiful green scenery in the background. Have a small, intimate wedding with a simple yet elegant table setting. Use white pumpkins for name cards, decorations, and favors. Make the wedding cake stand out with delicate, stunning flowers on the top. Throw on sneakers to dance, and show your guests that you’re ready to get down!
One of my new favorite websites, Etsy, sells vintage and handmade goods that are incredible and unique. Learn from Vanessa and Richard: Wear fun, flirty shoes that stand out from your wedding dress. Ask your florist to make your bouquet out of one color of tulips, so it makes its own statement. Get away from the conventional wedding cake and spice it up with something unique. Have your guests hold sparklers as you make your way to the getaway car.

Photography is one of the most important things to consider when planning your wedding. You spend hundreds of hours planning for this special occasion, and you want to have great memories to look back on. Many couples say that the day flies by, so having pictures that capture your wedding day is vital. Here is a list of ten questions to ask a photographer when you’re trying to decide whether or not he/she is the right photographer for you:
1. Who will be photographing my wedding? Do you have an assitant and can I meet that person? (Some photography companies have mulitple photographers, so you want to know which photographer will be at your wedding. Make sure you get to meet that person.)
2. Can I see a complete album from a wedding that you photographed? (This is a good way to see the photographer’s style.)
3. What is your shooting schedule during a wedding? (You want to know when the photographer will arrive and how long they spend taking formal photographs after the ceremony.)
4. Will you attend the rehearsal? (Some will attend the rehearsal to meet the major players in the wedding including the wedding planner, bridal party, and family members.)
5. Do you take more posed or candid shots? (As a couple, do you like posed shots or candid shots. This should match your photographers style.)
6. How soon will my photographs be available after I submit my order?
7. Do you bring backup equipment? (Lets be honest, things break. You don’t want to be stuck with a photographer with broken equipment.)
8. How many exposures or pictures will you take at my wedding? (Some photographers will limit the amount of photographs that they will take and some offer unlimited pictures.)
9. How do you handle camera hogs? (You don’t want your drunk friend or crazy Aunt Magda in every shot. This will also give you an idea about the photographer’s people skills.)
10. In case of an emergency, do you have a back up plan? (If your photographer gets extremely sick or has an emergency in the family, you want to make sure that you have a back up.)
I have received some comments that brides would like to see pink and green wedding cakes, invitations, and more. So, I’ve put together three inspiration boards to help these brides plan the perfect pink and green wedding.
From left to right: 3 pictures of White Dress with Pink Sash from Target, Pink Boutonniere from The Knot, Purse and Shoes Picture from Brides, Pink Bridesmaids Dress from Target, Groom’s Outfit from Brides.
If you’re trying to save money on your wedding dress, the one pictured above from Target is only $44.99. Also, the bridesmaid’s dress from Target is only $12. 49. It will look like you spent tons of money on the bridal outfits, because they’re simple and stunning. Spice up the bridesmaids’ dresses with lime green high heels.
Images from left to right: Invitation from Wedding Paper Divas, Invitation from East Six, Chandelier from Bellacor, Escort Cards from The Knot, Cake from Martha Stewart Weddings, Place Cards from Brides, Bouquet from Martha Stewart Weddings, Bouquet from Martha Stewart Weddings, 2 pictures of Cake from Brides, Flower Pin from Etsy, Shoes from Spiegel
The hairs pins above are made from pink organza and sage green velvet, and they’re $16. Hurry up and purchase them, because there is only one pair available at this time. Etsy is a great place to find inexpensive, handmade items. I love it and could browse the site for hours.

Five Things I Love About This Wedding:
1. The gorgeous colors in the brides bouquet.
2. The venue. A vineyard makes a beautiful background for pictures.
3. The bride’s white and gold outfit.
4. The bridesmaid’s dress. The lace top with the deep maroon/purple skirt looks elegant.
5. The photography. Loves Captures Photography did an excellent job capturing this wedding. Visit their website to see their portfolio and contact information.

I just want to give a huge thanks to Lenny of Leffand Studio, because he has supplied me with a ton of beautiful wedding photos that you’ll have the pleasure of viewing over the next few months!
Images from left to right: Cake from Jake Durrant, SugarBlom Cupcakes from Bev, Favor Bags from Brides, Invitations from Wedding Paper Divas, Monique Lhuillier Wedding Dress from Kleinfeld Bridal, Bouquet from Martha Stewart Weddings, Black Dress from Target, Black Clutch from White House|Black Market, Earrings from White House|Black Market
Black and white weddings are elegant and stylish. I love the bouquet of black beaded flowers and white hydrangeas. If you’re looking for black bridesmaids dresses, seriously consider the above dress from Target. Your bridesmaids would be incredibly grateful that their black, satin dresses only cost $22.49. Target is having a clearance dress sale online, and you can find almost any color, satin dress that would be beautiful in any wedding. Do your bridesmaids a favor and have them order their dresses from Target.
