I have no idea how I find time to read tons of wedding blogs every week with my full-time job as a social worker, part-time freelance writing gigs, and blog writing. But I do. Today, on my wonderful day off, I was wondering how I can use my wedding blog reading obsession with my readers.
Then a light bulb went off and I decided that every Monday I would publish a list of five wedding blog awards from the past week, so I can share the best parts of the blogs that I read with my readers. It is my mission to find:
The Most Inspiring Blog of the Week
The Most Creative DIY Project of the Week
The Most Useful Post/Article of the Week
The Most Stunning Real Wedding of the Week
The Best Budget-Friendly Idea of the Week
If you want to nominate a really amazing blog, please do so by sending me a comment. Hopefully this will help my readers connect to the best posts on the other fantastic wedding blogs. Because, let’s face it, I can’t cover it all.
So, with that said, here is the first list of awards 1/11/2009-1/17/2009:
The Most Inspiring Blog of the Week: Ritzy Bee
Ritzy Bee is one of those must see wedding blogs and this week the posts on something blue, Lela Rose wedding and bridesmaids dresses, and handmade wedding details were definitely inspiring.
The Most Creative DIY Project of the Week: Creature Comforts – DIY Coffee Filter Garlands
These look simple, beautiful and budget-friendly. You should definitely check these out for a fun way to decorate your wedding, bridal shower, or home.
The Most Useful Post/Article of the Week: From “I Will” to “I Do” – Vendor Contracts
Every bride needs to know what to include on vendor contracts. This post is concise and helpful. Print off the information and review your contracts to make sure you have the information on them that you need.
The Most Stunning Real Wedding of the Week: Junebug Weddings – Lisa and Todd
What would I do without this blog in my life? From the wedding dress to the handmade invitations, this wedding will inspire any bride.
The Best Budget-Friendly Idea of the Week: Style Me Pretty – DIY Love Garland
So this is another DIY project, but it’s really cute and budget-friendly. The directions seem simple and thorough. If you’re having a brunch reception or garden wedding, you really need to see this great project.
