We saved money by comparision shopping on everything! Our venue sent us to their recommended caterer who quoted us 12K for food, by shopping around, I was able to cut that number in half! Now we can use the extra money toward a photobooth and other fun things. This dress would be perfect for me in a size small! What a great giveaway!

  8. Great giveaway. I’d love to wear it to my friend’s spring wedding! [And in a large, please. Otherwise, I might be a little self-conscious about it being so tight!]

    Helloo! I’m a size S.
Ways we’ve saved money: make our own Save-the-Dates (cardstock, rubber stamps, cute ribbons), hand deliver most of our invitations, reusing flowers from ceremony at the reception, ask friends to help out instead of hiring vendors (emcees, ushers, special performances, stringed trio, etc.), printing the reception information on the invitation instead of on a separate reception card, and having talented friends work on the programs and menus, renting the bridal gown and bridesmaids dresses.
Btw-I would love to wear this dress on my honeymoon!

  10. What a pretty dress!! We are saving money all kinds of ways. 1. we are having our wedding at a small B&B ($750) for really whatever we need all day, all night, Friday, and Sunday, plus we have stopped by way too many times and they are so laid back. 2. Using local, small vendors. Our caterer is young and just starting out, so she is a lot less expensive than anyone else we looked at (about $15 per plate), our baker works out of her own house. 3. We have friends helping out with everything, my brothers girlfriend is doing my hair, a friend is doing our flowers, my friends mom is basically my day of coordinator 4. I am making my own invites and did a lot on my own for my save the dates. 5. I am making gifts for my bridal party . . . and so many more things too!! Anyway, maybe I should stop rambeling. I love the dress!! (oh, size L)

My friend who is cake cater volunteer to do our cake. This would save us some hundreds of dollars. Secondly, I decide we would do our own Save the Dates and our invites. A size L would be great. Thanks

we’ve saved money by thinking about which things are really important to us. we’re trying not to spend money on traditions that don’t mean anything to us and we won’t remember later!

and i would be a small.

With these hard times for both of us, we decided to have a very simple wedding. A good friend of ours offered us to use his back yard for our reception. At first I thought how could we have our reception at a backyard but after reading so many blogs. I realized you can and it all depends how you decorate. So having a backyard wedding is going to save us at least $1000.00. As for our caterer, we are going to use our favorite Mexican restaurant. We are looking at average of $10.00 per person. Believe me that is a huge savings. We were getting quotes of $20-30 per person. And last we are doing our own invites and favors.

    Size Medium please. Cute dress!

Best way to save money is to be creative! I do a lot of Do It Yourself projects, and that can go a long way in creating arrangements, invitations, etc. If you know what you’re doing, you can create things that look better than store made items! Just be artistic or gather some artistic friends who wouldnt mind helping.

i’m not married, but i study design so weddings are always of interest to me. one way i would save money on a wedding is to incorporate thrifted items, i always find beautiful, brand new table cloths at thrift stores for a couple bucks or less – such a steal! you can also purchase vases on such for table decor for a reception, having different shape and color glasses at different tables is really pretty i think! (size : small)

What a cute dress! I am doing so many DIY projects to save money for our wedding. Save-the-Dates, invitations, and programs will all be designed and printed by my fiance and I.

My favorite project though is the bridesmaids gifts. With a budget of $50 total and 5 bridesmaids I was really struggling to come up with a nice gift for under $10. The solution? I am sewing gorgeous clutches using Amy Butler fabric for each of my girls.

I have 5 weddings to go to this summer…so this would be perfect to wear to at least one of them! A size medium would be great!

We’ve saved money by starting planning early…so we have lots of time to look for the bargains and we haven’t had to book any vendors at the last minute. We’ve also locked in 2009 rates for our 2010 wedding…so if prices go up…we’ll only have to pay the lower rate!

    Hi there,

large for the dress please. Our way of saving money. We have done several things, of course the first was to trim our guest list as much as possible. This helped hugely and we are going to have a party with our extended family when we get our photos back to share with them all the day. Also we are supplying our own alcohol and have been very canny with buying up great wine specials as they become available. I also saved over $100 with a friend making a veil for me. The fabric was only $35 and its her wedding present to me!

We can’t wait but one way we have saved money for our wedding is doing alot of things ourselves! We are making our own invitations and centerpieces! Also since we had a long engagement we sent out save the dates for our wedding, that we also made as well! These are such easy ways to help save money for your BIG day!!
