Here are the wedding blog awards for the week of 4/5/09-4/11/09:

The Most Inspiring Blog of the Week: The Wedding Cabaret: Daily Wedding Inspiration for the Planning Bride and Groom

Mara, the creative genius behind this amazing wedding blog, posts so often that I would need at least five paragraphs to summarize her posts for the past week. Instead, I’m going to share my favorites. Mara posts real weddings on a regular basis, and this week I loved Brittany and Taylor, Stephanie and Rob, and Shana and Rob. The Orange Pop inspiration board is a must see for any bride using orange in her wedding color palette. If you’re looking for a specialty drink for a brunch or day time wedding, check out her recipe for Kiwi Melon Sangria *yum*. And all grooms should take a minute to look over the Tuxedo Glossary.

The Most Creative DIY Project of the Week: Jolie Jolie – DIY Tie String Program

These programs look fairly easy to make. The directions are detailed and pictures accompany each step.

The Most Useful Post/Article of the Week: The Lazy Bride’s Guide – Bathroom Baskets

Putting DIY bathroom baskets inside the bathrooms of your reception venue will make your guests more comfortable and feel special. Ensure that your guests have a great time with this thoughtful, inexpensive addition. Read this article for the items that should be in the bathroom baskets.

The Most Stunning Real Wedding of the Week: Style Me Pretty – Anne and John, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, and Part VI

This Connecticut wedding took place on a rainy day, but this couple didn’t let it spoil their big day. The bride’s dress is beautiful and I love the lace detail at the bottom. The stationery (which you’ll see in Part III) is beautiful and elegant.

The Best Budget-Friendly Idea of the Week: Hip Hostess – Kids DIY Table

Check out this post if you want a cute and affordable way to decorate a kid’s table for the reception. If you keep the children happy and busy, their parents will be able to enjoy the wedding celebration.
