Riley’s Question: I’m a bride on a budget but I don’t want to comprise on my wedding dress. I love love love Monique Lhuillier dresses but there is no way I can afford one of those dresses. The highest I can possibly go is $2500 but I would like to stay around $1500-2000. My fiance wants me to get the dress of my dreams but we just can’t afford it. Any advice?

April’s Answer: I’ve got two suggestions for you. The first suggestion is to go to any sample sales in your area to look for Monique Lhuillier dresses. Most bridal shops have regular sample sales to get rid of old inventory, so they can stock the new inventory. Call and ask about upcoming sample sales.

The second suggestion is to get a preowned wedding dress from somewhere like preownedweddingdresses.com. Many brides are selling their wedding dresses to get some extra cash and to allow another bride to wear a designer dress for less. It really benefits both parties. When you buy a dress from a seller online you want to make sure that you see pictures of the actual dress – not the dress on a runway model. Before you purchase it, go to a bridal shop and try the dress on if possible or try on a similar silhouette to make sure you like it on your body.

The pictures above are all from preownedweddingdresses.com and they’re all Monique Lhuillier dresses less than $2000! You can still have your dream dress on your budget.
