Tip of the Day – Wood Guest Books
For this month’s last tip of the day {which means the last tip of the day regarding guest books}, I wanted to share something extra special, so I went to one of my go-to places to find amazing, handcrafted items – Etsy. I found this seller, Crearting Shop, and fell in love with the products. Oh my gosh, if you’re having a rustic, romantic wedding, you need one of these handmade journals as your guest book. I’m seriously swooning over these!

Tip of the Day – Video Guest Book
Image from the knot {photography by Erin Hearts Court}
If you’re having a small wedding, consider skipping the traditional guest book and have the videographer ask each guest to express their well wishes on your wedding video. You’ll get a lot of funny and heartfelt responses. You’re already paying the videographer, so you don’t have to pay for a guest book.

Fashion Friday: Spring or Summer Rehearsal Dinner Outfit
This week I set out to find a cute spring rehearsal dinner outfit, but when I was done putting this one together, I realized that it could also be a great option for a summer rehearsal dinner. The best part about this outfit {in my opinion} is that it’s so adorable, that you’ll wear it over and over.

DIY Guest Book Download Freebie
After spending almost a month coming up with posts about guest book ideas, I came up with an idea and turned it into a DIY project. Most guests get a little panicked when they come up to a guest book. They have no idea what to write, and they know the couple will be keeping it for a lifetime. You can help your guests out and have an adorable guest book at the same time. Use these “recipe for a happy marriage” cards as your guest book. You can print them out onto card stock that’s 8 1/2 by 11 inches {standard paper size} and cut them. Put them in a recipe card holder or just have a stack of them with pens next to a beautiful floral arrangement. I made them in three different color combinations in hopes that one will match your color palette or go with your theme: orange and blue, purple and yellow, and pink and green.

Instead of me sharing another tip related to guest books, I thought I would tap into your knowledge. So readers – help me out here. Do you have any creative guest book ideas? What are you planning to do for your guest book? How does your guest book relate to your theme or reception?
I’m looking forward to reading your feedback. Thanks in advance for participating!

Sponsored Post – Wholesale Flowers: Blooms by the Box
Recently I’ve received a few reader questions about saving money on flowers and decorations. Some of the main suggestions I have include having a small wedding party {the less bridesmaids, the less bouquets}, reducing your guest list {the less guests, the less centerpieces}, and doing it yourself. Some brides become panicked when they consider having DIY wedding bouquets and decorations – but I’m positive that it can be done. And it can be done in classy way in which no guests realize that a professional didn’t do it. With the help of the Bloom’s Blog, brides can learn how to arrange flowers, make bouquets, and make centerpieces by watching some how-to videos. Then they can purchase wholesale flowers from a well-respected and professional company that has stellar reviews, Blooms by the Box.
If you’re going this route, I would suggest doing a trial run. This way you’ll already know exactly how you want your flowers arranged, so you won’t be playing around with this for hours a few days before your wedding. It’ll also give you piece of mind, because you’ll realize how beautiful the flowers are {that is – if you order them from Blooms by the Box}. You can make changes to any flower and color choices and feel confident about this DIY project if you practice beforehand.

Tip of the Day – Guest Book Pictures
I recently received an email from a reader wondering how she could use pictures of her guests with her and her future husband in her guest book if she’s not going to have a photo booth or polaroid camera at the wedding reception. This really got me thinking. It would take some extra planning, but it could definitely be accomplished. You could include a little note in the invitation asking guests to send a picture with you, your fiance, or both with their RSVP. Then glue the pictures into a guest book, and at the wedding reception, encourage guests to find their picture and write about the picture or write about their favorite experience with you.

Blacksburg Belle Boutique Giveaway!
I opened an Etsy shop a few months ago but didn’t have the time to really put into beginning to stock it until recently. Over the past week, I’ve been working on getting some items into it {including cards, banners, hair accessiories}, and I’m really excited to share it with you. I absolutely love crafting, and I’m big into reusing – so many of the items are made from recycled materials. This is super fun for me. To start things off right, I’m offering a giveaway to my readers {because you guys are FANTASTIC}….
To enter this giveaway, you just have to stop by the Blacksburg Belle Boutique and leave a comment on this post letting me know one of your favorite items. Hurry up and visit the shop, because the contest starts NOW and ends on FRIDAY, February 26th at 5 pm (EST). I’ll announce the winner on Saturday – and that person will be able to pick ANY item she wants out of my shop and I’ll ship it on Monday. Make sure that you use a valid email address, so I can contact you if you’re the winner. Enjoy!

Tip of the Day – Fun, Interactive Guest Book
I recently saw a guest book idea on the knot that made me giggle and I knew I would have to share it. One couple decided to have their guests pick their favorite sock monkey out of a book and sign their name next to it. How cute is that? You could do something similar but make it more personal by relating it to your hobbies and likes. For instance, you could purchase a coffee table book containing pictures of wineries {if you enjoy wine} and have your guests sign next to their favorite. This idea is fun and interactive for guests and will definitely leave a good impression on them. You won’t have to force your guests to sign your guest book, because they’ll all be lining up to do it!
