About Stylish Events
Stylish Events started as a way for me to sort out all the beautiful things I was finding while planning my own wedding. I subscribed to every wedding-related magazine, read all the books, and followed all the blogs. To put it nicely, I was obsessed. I shortly realized that my love for weddings and beautiful events could inspire other brides and help them with their planning needs.
I want Stylish Events to become a place that brides get inspiration on a daily basis, look to as a reliable place to find wedding vendors, and see as one of the top wedding planning resources available online. I also want to provide inspiration for women planning dinner parties, holiday parties, and casual get-togethers.
About April – The Writer
I spend my mornings looking through the world of weddings on my Google Reader and am always searching for budget-friendly ideas, fabulous DIY projects, and talented wedding vendors. After I’m done catching up on the 200+ blogs I follow, I work on Stylish Events, Obsessed with Martha {my other blog}, write event planning articles for online magazines and newspapers {I’m the NY Wedding Planning Examiner}, or work on products for my Etsy shop. I’m a happily busy girl who stumbled upon the wedding planning world and loves every minute of it. After my wedding in October, I will continue Stylish Events – I definitely couldn’t give it up!
Some of my other interests include reading, baking, crafting, and my pets. I’m also obsessed with Virginia Tech Football {my wedding is planned around a football game} – Go Hokies! On a Saturday, you can find me tailgating, in Lane Stadium, or at home watching the game on television and desperately wishing I was there.
