Tip of the Day – Budget-Friendly Centerpiece

Happy Monday! I’m just getting over strep throat, but I’m really excited about this week on Stylish Events. Why? Because I started a new feature on Sundays about my Cupcake Challenge and this week is going to be extra special for Alabama brides. So stay tuned all week for extra posts and real weddings! Enjoy.

Today’s tip of the day is for the bride on a budget. If you want eye-catching centerpieces at your wedding reception, consider putting single blooms in various drinking glasses, vases, and jars. Collect the vases and jars at yard sales, dollar stores, and flea markets. It can really stretch a flower budget without looking cheap.

Learn from Audra and Jesse: The bride wore a flattering Monique Lhuillier gown with a sweetheart neckline. The couple choose to have an outdoor wedding and the flower girl carried a bouquet of pink peonies. The stylish decor with rural accents made the reception come alive with romance. The couple choose centerpieces made of white and pink peonies, and the cake was decorated with pink peonies.

Fashion Friday – Dinner Party Outfits

In response to last Fashion Friday, Tyrese said:

Cute :-)

But here is a challenge…maybe next Friday doing one for the plus sized girl…I can fit maybe my arm in a dress from Forever 21, lol. That would be very helpful for us ladies who wear a size 12 and above.

Thanks and keep up the good (and very inspiring) work!

Here is an outfit for women who are sized 2 to 16. I love Target because their clothes run big (which makes women feel good about themselves) and they have a plus sized selection.

And I have good news….Forever 21 just released a plus size collection.

Here is another outfit that women with curves will look great in. This outfit is for women size 16 to 26.

This beautiful couple wed at Crestmore Manor in Riverside, CA. The first picture in this post captures the feel of this wedding – fun!
